Background:

Graduate from the University of Hawaii with a double major in Finance and Accounting, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
Joined Affin Hwang Asset Management ("Affin Hwang AM") on 1 June 2010 as Chief Product Officer.
Set up an academy to cater to the learning and training needs of various clients after taking role as Chief Learning Officer in January 2014 and product development for the fund management, stock-broking, onshore and offshore private banking industries.
Offshore experience includes marketing of wealth management services and formulating investment strategies for the high net worth individual market segment.
Before moving offshore, he also covered various aspects of the capital market as fund manager for institutional sales and product director in several renowned financial groups in Malaysia.

A talk on basic and intermediate finance practices including monthly budgets, expenses, insurances, and debt management.
In simple concept financial management means, if you save me today – I will save you tomorrow. In this competitive era, funds are acquired from several sources. Finance management is classified based on business activities or company’s accounts or personal accounts. Financial management examples for individuals include managing monthly budgets, expenses, shopping, etc.

COUNTRY MANAGER, MALAYSIA AT STASHAWAY

Background:

Graduated with a degree in economics and finance from UNSW Australia before working as an investments associate at Khazanah Nasional Bhd.
Played a role in the post-merger integration between Affin Holdings Bhd and Hwang Investment Bank in 2014, when he was only 26.
Took part in landmark transactions such as the initial public offering of Serba Dinamik Bhd.
Climbed his way from Senior Assistant Vice President in Corporate Strategy at Affin Hwang Capital to being the vice president of equity capital markets, spending over 4 years at Affin Hwang.
Became the country manager for Malaysia at StashAway when StashAway was just setting up its office in Kuala Lumpur up till today.

Background:

The Queen of Malaysia’s ETF, Chong Lee Choo graduated with a degree in Mathematics and started her banking journey in the Standard Chartered Bank, climbing from a Banking Apprentice to Product Manager in Treasury products in 2 years.
After working for Standard Chartered Bank for over 3 years, Chong Lee Choo became the AVP of Investment Product in Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad whose accomplishments included launching new Treasury Products, 3 new investment products within 2 years and led the implementation of eTreasury (AG Delta) system as the Project Manager.
Chong Lee Choo has also been recognised for outstanding performance with AFG Spirit Award (2012) and AFG Marketing Impact Award (2013).
She is responsible for 40% of all ETFs listed on Bursa Malaysia. No one has launched more ETFs than this amazing woman.
Chong Lee Choo is now the Director of Affin Hwang Asset Management’s ETF & Innovation Lab spearheading the efforts to bring Malaysia's ETF scene as well as innovation for the company to the next level.
