For the term of 2019/2020, MSGA’s Advocacy Team has chosen ‘Diversity and Inclusivity’ to be the focus of our campaigns. The reason is simple; despite 63 years of independence and 57 years since the creation of Malaysia, we are still divided on multiple fronts. The objective of this campaign is to increase awareness on the lack of diversity and inclusivity in Malaysia towards multiple groups in society amongst Malaysian students globally. Together with our Member Councils, partners and friends from various organisations, we have curated multiple initiatives throughout the year to address lack of women representation in leadership and politics, education inequality, non-inclusion of East Malaysians, and plight of PWD’s in Malaysia.
